VW To Purchase Small Vehicles

Just recently, the German auto maker planned to close its production plant in Spain because the plant failed to gain the profit that VW was expecting. The plan was actually suggested last year of September and the Seat Spain will be the first production plant to experience a 10% workforce off.

Last month, the German auto maker is humored to collaboration with those which have emerging markets such as with emerging markets such as India, Russia and China. And now the long wait is over, Volkswagen will be doing small cars.

The foreign auto maker will be doing the 3L car and the 3L actually refers to the fuel consumption of the vehicle which is 3L/100 km (78.4mpg) or less.

Volkswagen was noted to be closer to making a deal with a Malaysian carmaker Proton Holdings according to Financial Times’ Kevin Rose. The Proton will be the basis of the next Volkswagen small car going into production.

Back in 2005, Volkswagen puts a period on the production of its Lupo 3L which was a small car that consumes 3 litres per 100 kilometers (78 miles per US gallon) fuel engines. Now, the new 3L maybe sharing specs with the outgoing Audi A1 which has the current tag price of 6,000 to 8,000 Euros.

Volkswagen parts will always be available on the new vehicle.
